Hydrangeas

Did you know you can change the colour of hydrangeas flowers by changing the PH of the soil?

An acidic soil with a PH below 5.5 produces blue flowers, the PH above 5.5 results in pink flowers. White hydrangeas do not change their colours and are not affected by PH. Make sure you give them a fertilizer rich in aluminium and iron to keep the flowers blue.

Hydrangeas are excellent shrubs for hedges and side walls.

The soil must be well drained and rich. The plant needs regular watering.
