Crocus

It grows from bulbs and flowers late winter and early spring. They have a strong scent  not only for humans but for bees as well.

They look better if planted in clusters either in a container or a garden patch.

They prefer a rich soil so try to prepare the soil before planting the bulbs.

If you do not have cold winters keep the bulbs in the fridge covered with black cloths for six to eight weeks before planting them.

Then gradually expose them to more light and heat, and plant them in window boxes, pots or your garden.

These plants die quickly if exposed to heat.

If you get very hot summer remove the bulbs from the soil and keep them in a cool dry area.
