Balloon Flower

These flowers get their name from the way their unopened buds look like.

They have a pleasant blue-violet colour and also can have other varieties as well.

They generally have a long flowering period and bloom heavily most of the summer.

They can be planted in a container or a garden patch. In this case, plant them in large groups and provide support with a stake for heavy flowers

The best way to grow these flowers is by their seeds.

It is better to sow them in a container pot first before transferring to your garden. spread them on top of the soil and press into soil but do not cover. Balloon Flower seeds need light to germinate.

Flowers do not like to be disturbed so it is not a good idea to propagate Balloon Flowers via dividing. Plant them by their seeds instead.
